Events for 2008

Here is the tentative schedule of events for 2008.  With help from volunteers and a good membership turn out we hope to have all the following activities.  If anyone has any more ideas or would like to help with any events please contact Amy Hartman at 582-3253.

Halloween

On Saturday, October 27 we had our
community trick or treat.  There was a
fairly good turnout despite the last minute date change.  The board received a number of calls about having trick or treat during the week on Halloween which prompted the
date change.  Despite a few “egging” issues, the trick or treat was a great success. For 2008, Halloween will be on Friday, so
should eliminate making a date change.

Helicopter Rescue

On labor day weekend, Jill Kauffman, while painting her shutters on the back of her house, had the ladder come out from under her and she fell.  She ended up breaking both bones in the lower part of her leg below the knee, and took a helicopter ride to Winchester.  Although Jill is back to work, she is still suffering from some after effects.  Our hopes for a speedy recovery.
